My "art-sock" submission to The Mending Ground project by Eden Grove Artist in Residence Connie Michele Morley in support of the ancient forests of the Gordon River Watershed in British Colombia, Canada. Morley performed an exhibition on June 1, 2021 with mended socks submitted from artists, hanging them amongst the trees in the ancient forest.

Game of Shrooms, the third annual Art & Seek event from @attayumfactory happened on June 12th! About 1,000 artists participate in this worldwide treasure hunt for free fungi themed artwork. Here's my contribution to this year's hunt,

inspired by the Bridal Veil Stinkhorn Mushroom - and apparently the real variety produce quite an odor - but this one does not!

And she's off! Mailed my contribution to The Museum of Beadwork's Beaded Square Project. It's inspired by a fabric quilt square pieced from remnants of the home sewn COVID 19 masks I started making from my stash of fabrics in March 2020 for donation to family, friends and community organizations. Especially thrilled to include the beadwork of my talented Grandmother, Johnnie Mulder, in this piece. She made beautiful French Beaded Flower bouquets, and the blue and white flowers on the left panel of the square are hers. The Museum of Beadwork invited all, regardless of experience or style, to contribute a 6 x 6 inch beaded square to help create a group project that reflects our time during the COVID 19 Pandemic. The Museum will then gather all the squares and display them together in a kind of community quilt, The Beaded Square Project.
